Edit: FINISHED! Wow did it take a while. Pain in the butt....however, I did manage to finish it - it's a bit proportional, but oh well. Not going back now! xD

Wow it's late....better make this quick.

So! As Pokemon fans from around the world are probably well aware of by now, Nintendo will be releasing remakes of the old Game Boy games, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Known as "Alpha Sapphire" and "Omega Ruby" - and boy, is the PKMN lovers community in a buzz! Of course, I am among them, and felt an odd desire to draw Zapharia's current Elite - the six Pokemon my longer-standing watchers are indeed familiar with. I'm just so psyched, and I realized I had never drawn Zapharia's Elite together....so that's about to change! For the next few days, I'll be working on this, so anticipate updates. When I'm through, all 6 will be up! Whoo, projects! And procrastination!

Oh, and just in case you guys are curious, I'll be adding little blurbs on the characters as I add on!~

Grimsley "Grim" de Cambrion - Umbreon*
Grimsley, better known by his nickname Grim, is a newer member of Zapharia's Elite. Born in Unova and named after the great Dark-Type Master in the Unovian Elite Four, Grim was a fast learner and a talented battler, though he acted largely on impulse before his real training began. He decided when he was an Eevee to join his master's traveling group rather than staying behind in the PC with Zapharia's other Pokemon, and it was on the road that he was first introduced to the Elite. Kozai - Zapharia's Darkrai, who was, and still it, the leader of the Elite and Zapharia's right hand - captured Grim's attention at once. Grim saw the power Kozai possessed and longed for some of his own, jealousy overtaking him. Of course, Kozai was not one to bargain with, so to prove himself, the shiny Eevee evolved into an Umbreon as a sign of dedication to Kozai's teachings. The Darkrai finally agreed to teach Grim, and began to put the young Umbreon through trials and torment, pushing him to his limits in order to help him realize his potential. To this day, Grim is Kozai's apprentice - still learning, but one hell of a fighter.

Flare de Cambrion - Infernape
Flare was Zapharia's first Pokemon that she had full command over. As a Chimchar, he was rarely ever serious, and liked to mess around a lot because he didn't see any of Zapharia's opponents as a true challenge. However, this quickly changed as the notorious Team Galactic appeared in the home region Zapharia and Flare shared - Sinnoh. He grew quickly into a fast, heavy-hitting battler, and he learned when was the proper time to joke around and when that time did not exist. He still maintained a carefree air to his personality, and he rarely became agitated, but he knew better than to underestimate the enemies he was faced with. He hit a very large turning point in his life in Snowpoint City, easily his least favorite place on Earth. Separated from his master and presumed dead, Flare had to fight for his survival alone for quite some time after his escape from death. Many say he shouldn't even be alive today, but he is, and his loyalty to Zapharia is just like the flame on his head, so he says - it will never die until he himself does.

Lancelot "Lance" de Cambrion - Gallade*
Lance was connected to Zapharia before he even knew she existed. His mother Glinda was the partner Pokemon of Zapharia's mother, Lucia. One might say destiny made them team mates, just as their mothers had been years before they were born. Lance feels a deep connection to his master, as if she were really part of his family, and he defends her with incredible ferocity. Lance also takes to defending his sister, Gwendolyn, and his closest "friend" Aurora from any and all harm possible. He truly lives up to his name - Lance is just like a knight from story books, in a sense. He doesn't speak like one, but he is honorable, bold, charismatic, and chivalrous to all those he recognizes as superiors. However, Lance has grown to form negative feelings for some of Zapharia's other Pokemon, namely Kozai. He does not appreciate rudeness, savagery, cruelty and coldness, all of which can be seen in Kozai's ill personality. Despite his general dislike of certain mons though, Lance gets along with just about everyone and anyone, and is one of Zapharia's iconic partners, thanks to his powerful battle techniques and his shiny blue coloration.

Aurora de Cambrion - Lucario
Aurora was what Zapharia refers to as "a late bloomer" when it came to battling. As a Riolu, Aurora couldn't stand conflict, and was very easily frightened by larger and more imposing mons, so she rarely battled. Instead, she found her place preforming for people in Pokemon Contests, where her moves could be used not to harm, but to wonder and amaze her audiences. It was Lance, Zapharia's Gallade, that finally managed to coax her into battling. She admired the stronger mon for his power and resolve, and so she began her training with him. In return for Lance teaching her battle tactics, she insisted on teaching him dances and flashy moves for Pokemon Contests - which the two became quite a team in. Aurora's heart still leans towards preforming, in a way, whether in contests, musicals, or movies, but she remains aware of the fact that she is a strong Pokemon and is not afraid to use said strength. Aurora gets along with everyone - if you wanted to hate her, you couldn't. It's practically impossible - even Kozai, bitter as he may be, acknowledges Aurora as a friend. She's always there to lend a supporting paw, and steady as her fist may be, it's her words that really sway others.

Calypso de Cambrion - Zoroark
Calypso was much like Aurora when she first joined Zapharia's team. As a Zorua, she was easily frightened and avoided battles at all costs - after her mother Reika was killed by a rampaging Hydreigon, Calypso had a hard time even dealing with the thought of using her moves. With the help of Aurora, Calypso learned how to use her moves wisely, and she became a friendly contest rival to the Lucario after practicing for so long on her moves and dances. Calypso was a naturally brilliant actor, given her species and their nature, but she still felt out of place on stage - like she hadn't lived up to her mother's expectations. Determined to prove herself, she became one of the Elite, and is their newest member. Training beside her team mates, Calypso takes every opportunity to learn and grow, and has gotten over her fear of battle - though she's still shy and soft-spoken. She's come an exceptionally long way as an Elite, earning the admiration and respect of the other mons - however, she still pursues a hopeless dream of love - as she is unfortunately borderline infatuated with the infamous Kozai himself.

Kozai de Cambrion - Darkrai
Kozai is, according to many who've met him, including some of his own team mates, a monster. The thing is, Kozai embraces this as a fact. Yet, every one of Zapharia's Pokemon knows who he is, from the oldest to the youngest. Not too many understand why he's Zapharia's Champion - the right-hand mon responsible for running things when the master herself cannot. Some say that it's because he's the strongest Pokemon she has. Zapharia neither confirms nor denies this, but rather, says that she believes in Kozai, and she knows he is more than qualified to be a leader. Some others aren't to sure of this - for a logical reason, of course. Kozai has a terrible disposition when it comes to other living creatures in general. Though exceedingly intelligent, this Darkrai doesn't know where to draw the line with insults, and has been known to manipulate others into doing his bidding through fear or aggression, sometimes egging people into doing stupid things just to set them up for failure. He is cruel to those who he sees as lesser beings, and has displayed before that he is not above murder, even when he was a full member of Zapharia's team (though it was on a rare occasion that he ever went so far). Though an honorable battler, Kozai believes in total defeat or everlasting humiliation. Nothing in between. Not many enjoy his company, as he is very uptight and cold towards others, and is usually seen as spiteful and savage by his opponents, as he is constantly battling others to improve himself. Yet there are some who Kozai feels comfortable around, like Aurora or Zapharia herself, along with a few others, who see a different side of Kozai they rarely speak of to preserve his privacy. Despite all his bad attributes, Kozai is incredibly loyal to his team, and he never allows his better judgment to be clouded by his emotions when it comes to important decisions he as Champion must make. He leads well - for a "monster".

WOW! That's a lot - and to think, they're only fractions of what each character is really all about lol xD I'm looking forward to working with these guys more, and I hope you all enjoy the piece! I'm going to go study until I drop now~
